The following pictures were taken as I lowered the mast while standing on solid ground. The 4 part block was easy to control and I simply tied off to the main halyard cleat as I paused to take pictures. The whole process is pretty simple.

The side legs have been tied off to the turnbuckle bases and the forward leg clipped to the bow eye.The system has already started to take load and the forward leg has come off the deck.

Another shot as the process begins.

The process continues quite predictably.

This shot shows the mast hinge more clearly. The hing is made of aluminum bar approximately 0.5 inches think and through-bolted through the mast.

The mast is all the way down. Pretty easy!
